Great Product - Great Store |

This gate opener replaces one I have had on my farm gate for about 18 years. The one i replaced was a smaller model MightMule from back in 1998. This unit installed with almost all the same hardware holes and I even used some of the old brackets. The unit is very heavy duty and I probably could have used one version lighter than the 500. All of my old remotes still work too. I had everything installed and walked away in about 4 hours. I probably could have done it in less time but I am pretty fussy about straight and level and reading the instructions. The video was a grat help too.
This store sent the opener right on time and there were no unexpected charges. I will use them again in118 years if I they are here and I need another opener.
Oh yes, my gate is an 8 ft chain link type. I chose this unit even though I could have used a lighter duty one because the lighter one had one bad review and I hate maintenance.

We've owned this model since 2003 and have had great luck with it. We have it installed on an 18' chain link with slats gate and it has performed better than expected. We needed to replace the revolution counter in the arm (a $30 part) this year, and other than that, it has been maintenance free. The only time we have issues with it, is during a wind storm. I recommend securing the gate so that the wind doesn't put pressure on the gate during the event. If you have good air flow through your gate (not a solid gate, or one with view blocking slats), you probably won't have any issues with the gate. The technical support is fantastic, and the website usually has answers for your issues. If you cannot install it yourself, any good fence company with gate opener experience can do the job for usually a reasonable fee. Key point, make sure you have a good anchor point on your gate and post for the arm to function properly. This is a great product for the money.

I just installed the MM500. It was very easy. The instructions were very clear. The DVD was also very helpful because you could watch the actuall install process. I highly recommend the product.
